Ooh, yeah. A golf club'll work great.

It worked for Tiger Woods.
His golf swing has likely produced countless children.

I (briefly) considered putting this somewhere else, but then figured, what the hell? We put everything else here, right?
Anyway, I think another active RP would be good for these ol' forums, and I've been trying to think of ideas. Now, I'm all for another TES RP, seeing as we're all familiar with that particular universe...but this brings me to my question.
Is there any other kind of fantasy genre anybody would like to see an RP based in? I was thinking of possibly trying a Halo one, but again, I'm not sure how familiar everybody on the forums are with that particular setting.
So I guess what I'm asking is, anybody have any interesting suggestions? Thoughts?

Well, it would be really fun to have an RP in a different genre. The trouble, for me anyway, is that most of the non-TES things I'm interested in are either unsuitable for an RP or aren't really shared interests with anyone else. I am unable to keep up with modern video games, so I'm rather out of the loop. I'd be interested in playing in an original setting, or in a unique take on the TES setting (which provides some points of reference, at least). The main thing for a good RP, IMO is a good plot/premise. The setting itself can only take you so far. Yeah. So that's a lot of unhelpful gook. But whatever you make will be awesome anyway, so I'm not worried.

I'm sorry, but I'm not a big fan of RPing on these boards. Too many RPers writing novels for posts. I'm not too found of very long posts.
EDIT: but you should totally make something cool. Halo sounds cool, but since most of us aren't as well read in Halo mythos as you, I imagine such a setting might be a tad hard.

I know what you mean about long posts, Jo. They tend to...irk, me as well. Still, it'll be too bad if you don't join. What with your dark, wry sense of humour and all.
And yeah, I figure that Halo might not be the best of choices. I can't expect everyone to know the relative strengths of Elites and Hunters, for example.
I've got a couple of ideas for TES ones, of course, but just as a thought experiment here, how much does everybody know about, say, the Resident Evil franchise? Maybe a survival type scenario in Raccoon City?
Again, though, I'm not committing to anything. Just throwing some ideas out there.

Well, hunters have a big ass cannon. I think I've been in a survival zombie RP, but I don't think it got very far. I reckon you've got enough good RPers here to pull it off.

Zombie survival RPs here haven't yet gotten any farther than page 1, but that may be on account of creator desertion.
I'm totally with you on the long-post thing, Jo. I very rarely post novels anymore, mostly because I don't like to read them, so it'd be unfair of me. Also, my RPing skills are rusty as hell anyway, so best not to force fellow RPers into prolonged exposure to it.

On the matter of RPs.
How long is it socially acceptable to go between each time one shave one's beard?

I'd rather have a L4D than a resident evil...
I don't have time to be honest. Hosting United Bretony takes up time. I have school, a life, etc too. Just not a lot of time anymore...
But it all depends.

I'm still afraid of this forum. The novel posts make me feel inadequate.
Add to that the fact that my RPing skills are rustier than a shank hidden for five years in a prison toilet bowl... And yeah.

Jo until you are mistaken for a hobo or a hippy, that's how long is socially acceptable between times for one to shave ones beard . and yea i havent been a fan of long posts, as content is more important to me than length. as long as the post covers everything that needs to be, then its good by me

They can be annoying, but sometimes are a good read. For myself, I typically just post, not caring about length and just trying to get in whatever it is I need to get in; often it ends up lengthy simply because I happen to use a lot of words to describe things, than any sort of length goal.

I shaved. And I cut myself shaving for the very first time. Cutting myself, not shaving. I've been shaving for years. No, really, I have...
And, should I apply for a master's degree in NTNU?

I know how you feel Elgen, this whole world is just a black abyss. Everyone's just living their fake britney spears fairytale lives, hiding from the real pain this world is suffering. I understand you, we should be different from everyone else by dressing and acting the same and listening to the same music as each other.
