"You [censored] MONSTER!" came the cry, as Perur limped his way towards the cabins, trying to get to an area where they would have to feed themselves through a place to get to him. That would narrow their fighting movements, and allow the more dexterous Perur to get the upper hand. Out here, there were too many chaotic sides that he would have to pay attention to all at once, too many ways that he could get attacked. He wasn't used to fighting on all sides at once, as his slip earlier had reminded him.
However, the cry caused him to take a momentary pause, and it was a good thing that he did, too. As, not a moment after, he heard the *CRACK* of a heavy blow on a skull, and Semira staggered past him, nearly hitting Perur and causing him to go over with her. However, she looked as though she were a bit dazed and confused, her normally sharp red eyes a bit vacant. Likely, that blow to the head had done it.
Twisting himself, Perur's left hand left his side, though a scream of pain lanced up his entire side from it. His hand snagged at Semira's arm, but his bloodied skin was slick. For a brief moment, he slipped, his fingers scrabbling at her arm ineffectively, leaving Perur, for a horrified moment, thinking that she was going to end up going right over the railing.
When his hand reached her own hand, though, he had rubbed off enough blood, now a crimson streak down her arm, that he was no longer quite as slick, and his hand finally found purchase. Catching her hand tightly, Perur stopped her from going over the railing, though it still managed to pull him off balance slightly, his side giving a scream of protest against suddenly taking on extra weight. Perur's teeth clenched together in a hiss, before the man that had been attacking moved forward to finish the job.
With only a dagger, Perur wouldn't be able to defend against an enemy with a heavy blade like a cutlass... So he did the only thing that he could do. He threw the dagger. Pulling his right arm back, he threw the dagger by the hilt, watching it turn over in the air a single time, before burying itself into the man's chest, just below his heart. With a cry, the man staggered backwards, taking Perur's dagger away from him back into the heart of the fight. So, Perur had lost his weapon. Just wonderful.
But, it allowed him to bring his right hand over, to help him pull Semira to her feet. "You OK?" He asked, ignoring the sticky blood flowing a bit more freely down his side now, from yanking at the wound. He'd take care of that when he reached the cabins, but Semira didn't seem like the kind to leave the main battle.

*clang, clash, shing, clang*
Murry brought the cutlass up again to block a Pirate's attack, his other blade swishing under his raised arm to cut the man's torso in two. The already raised arm then twisted and moved to his right, coming hilt to hilt with another blade. His second blade thrust forward, stabbing into the man.
The world was a swirl around him, a flurry of motion and action as the adrenaline pulsed in his blood. Kicking the pirate of his blade the body fell off the rail and into the still water below.
"YOU [censored] MONSTER!" The scream cut through the gloomy atmosphere of the battle, and Murry turned around to see two figures in the gloom huddled on the deck. A sword-wielding shadow hovered over them.
Without hesitation Murry leaped over the rail of the ship stern, landing on the lower deck and cutting into the shoulder of a pirate on the way down. He didn't miss a beat as he rushed over to the injured figures, his naval cloak flapping behind him. By now the sword wielding shadow had fallen to the deck, dead.
"Get below decks. We have a doctor hiding there for cases like these. I'll give you cover." Murry ordered. These two were passengers. It wasn't even their fight to get wounded in. The pirate with an injured shoulder came after Murry, growling and holding his sword in his left, since his right was hurt.
Murry saw the approach from the reflection of the nearby lamp on his blade surface, and whirled around, the flat of his cutlass meeting the edge of the saber.
When steel rang on iron, there was more than a clang. There was a clap of thunder and a flash of lightning. Followed by another flash of lightning and more thunder.
In the gloom a new shadow rose into existence. But unlike the others, this shadow was thick and long, rising high above the ships. Both Murry and the pirate Nord stopped, looking at the shadow.
A loud, low toned groan filled the air, and the shadow crashed down upon the pirate vessel, wrapping around it and knocking boarding timbers from the merchant ship. In the lantern light of Murry's ship one could see it was a thick object, slick and wet with ocean water. As thick as two Orcs abreast.
Wood cracked and splintered as the thing came down, cleaving the pirate vessel into two unequal pieces, and dragging them towards the sea. The water was no longer still as it frothed with sinking activity.
The sound of something bursting from the water came from the other side of the ship, and Murry turned as the Nord stared at the sinking pirate schooner in disbelief. A large shadow in the gloom on the port side made Murry's heart sink. The pirate's cry made it even worse, as more shadows grew from the water's surface to rise above the masts.
"Kraken!"

"What?!" He cried out in disbelief. Aldarilon's face had sort of dropped from the intense combat-focused one to one of utter depression. Shock, yes, but depressed shock.
"It isn't going to end is it? He simply won't give me any rest!" He said defeatedly, throwing his free hand into the air in an "ah, what the bloody hell!" manner. Shaking his head, he looked back up at the monstrous beast towering over them. At least, what they could see of it. Starting in a walk, he broke into a run to find the captain.
He found him standing next to a Nord, blades drawn, staring up at the Kraken. "Captain!" He shouted, running towards the Redguard, keeping his eyes on the Kraken. He came up to the captain and gave him a quick shake in the shoulder. "Captain, this ship's done for! We need to get as many people off the vessel as possible! They might die out there, but they have better chances than they do here!"
Aldarilon was very much shaking, from a combination of adrenaline and fear. Taking a plunge into those depths was the most terrifying concept he could think of, but if it meant survival...well, after all that he had lived through, he wasn't about to let himself be killed by a sea monster.

Jacen ignored the scream that seemed to have sliced through the fog and din of the fight. In fact, he ignored every aspect of the fight around him as he watched the first shadow rise from the sea. He took an involuntary step backwards as the dark spire slammed into the schooner, dragging it down into the depths. In mere seconds, the Bael, 'scourge of the Iliac' was gone. And with it went his hopes of a happy ending to the day.
Had his mind been focused, he would have realized that if the ship did survive the sea monster, he would likely have been captured by the crew, given to the proper authorities on land, then summarily hung. Had he been focused, he might have found a suitable floatation device and jumped ship. Had he been focused, he might have wondered the scope of a Kraken's intellect, and whether or not he could communicate with it using his race's inborn affinity with animals.
But he wasn't thinking clearly, and his mind fell to two things: Fight or Flight. Jacen's subconscious mind quickly ruled out flight from his mind, as he was in the middle of the Iliac Bay, surrounded by fog and sea monsters. So, of course, the Bosmeri theif raised his bow, drew back the string, and lets loose an arrow at one of the many slick shadowy tentacles raised in the sky. The teen inches of iron suddenly seemed so minuscule as it flew towards it's target, disappearing amongst the orange fog.

Semira was in a complete Blur as she began to tip over the railing, nearly smacking into someone on her way. On some level she knew she was going to drown, but her motor skills were in complete disarray as her body fought to recover from the blow.
But then there was a hand on her arm, pulling her back. She didn't know what was happening. Where she was going. But damn it, she wasn't going to be this helpless! She concentrated and concentrated, and slowly her vision cleared as her head changed from confusion to throbbing pain.
She looked up into the eyes of Perur the assassin, her expression dumbstruck as he hauled her back onto the deck.
"You OK?" he asked. Okay? she thought dazedly, then focused her mind and too stock.
"Wound to thigh, bleeding staunched, limp and motor damaged. Head injury, possibly concussion," she reeled off, her mouth on autopilot.
Once again, she focused her sight, the part of her magic that studied restoration niggling uncomfortably. She realised Perur had been wounded- pretty badly, judging by the blood. "Here..." she said, reaching out and touching it with cool, glowing blue fingertips- carefully to keep her claws out of the way. The blood stopped flowing. "Much as I can do."
She paused, swaying for a moment, but Perur was there and he steadied her. "Thank you..." she added gratefully.
The Captain ordered them down to the doctors, but only seconds later a cry went up: "Kraken!"
Semira's blood went cold, and her mind focused now with a keen and horrifying clarity.
She gripped Perur's arm, staring him right in the eyes. "If the Kraken takes this ship, he'll destroy it, fold it into his mouth and drag it down to the depths. Kraken's are ship-killers, and we don't have the resources to kill one. We'll die on this ship."
He'll never go... she thought. He'll die here, but if I go on my own, I'll live... her heart was beating fast, too fast- but was it adrenaline, or was it excitement at the idea of leaving someone else to die in their worst nightmare? She didn't want to think... didn't want to feel like that...
She couldn't leave him there. "If we jump, we have a chance," she said breathlessly, hating herself for being the one to give him this choice. "My spells will keep us breathing, and I can keep us afloat. We can run on water as far as we can, but then we'll be left to swim. It's the only way, Perur, but we'll be in the water." Her eyes showed her pain for him. Whatever momentary sick idea had hit her before, it was long gone now.
He won't go... she thought. Her instincts screamed that she jumped now. I can't stay with him, I'll die... it's not like he's important. Just an imperial.
But I can't leave him alone... she thought desperately.

Perur's own blood froze in his veins the moment the word "Kraken!" was heard. A sea monster, something sent from ht every depths of the ocean, to drag entire ships and their crews to their doom. Something that could wipe them out without ever getting hurt, for the tentacles were nothing but arms, and the main body of the beast, terrible and imposing, lay beneath the boat, in the depths below, waiting to crush the boat into nothing but splinters, crushing the crew within it and then dragging them down into the inky black depths, to either drown or be crushed into nothingness by the increasing water pressure...
Perur's breath was coming fast, much too fast. His heart was picking up speed as he thought on the fact that he could very well die here. They were in the middle of the bay, there was no other ship, the pirate ship had just been taken down, so quickly, so easily... HE was going to die, he was going to have the boat snap in half, going to be dragged down into the depths, going to drown, he was going to die, he was going to die...
A curious humming was filling his ears, leaving him dazed and confused when Semira said something to him, her crimson eyes locked with his. He couldn't understand what she was saying, it was like she was moving in slow motion, her lips slowly forming each word, like she was trying to talk to a deaf person that was a horrible lip reader. Perur paid the words no mind, as he struggled against his body's rebellion, against the weak-kneed feeling that was claiming him, the despair that rose like some dark phoenix from the ashes...
Before the world snapped suddenly back into motion, though the fear didn't abate in the slightest. Perur took a shaky step back, instinctively patting a hand at his side for his dagger. It was gone... Why was it gone? For a brief moment, confusion flooded through him, his dazed mind not working properly, before he remembered throwing it, to save Semira. He was unarmed against this beast, helpless...
"If we jump, we have a chance." Semira said suddenly, starting Perur out of his daze. He jerked as though he had been struck, fixing her with an incredulous gaze. "My spells will keep us breathing, and I can keep us afloat. We can run on water as far as we can, but then we'll be left to swim. It's the only way, Perur, but we'll be in the water."
He stared at her, before shaking his head slowly, fearfully. "N... No... No, I can't do it..." He said weakly, stepping back away from her, as though she would simply grab him and THROW him overboard. He wouldn't do it, he wouldn't get in that water, it would be death for him. The Kraken wasn't the only thing in the sea, they would be killed, he would be killed anyway, they were in the middle of the bay... "Your spells... They wouldn't last all the way through the bay... Not for two people." Perur pointed out, despair again claiming him. He took another step away from her, another, getting as far away from the railing as possible. "I.... I.... I..." He stammered, searching for a way to explain to her, to tell her, why he couldn't do it. She didn't understand, she didn't, he couldn't do that, he couldn't....

"I know how to do my job!" Murry snarled at the Altmer, as the Nord pirate tossed himself into the sea in fright. Another tentacle crashed upon the wreckage of the pirate vessel, sending timber flying into the air along with bodies.
The wind was as still as ever before, but the water moved now because of the massive disturbance of the beast, not because of nature. Thunder and lightning still danced through the skies of the Abecean Sea, their music filling the ears of the men along with their own cries of fear.
They would never reach the Iliac Bay, never reach their destination, and Murry knew it. He had failed his ship, his crew, his Empire. But he wasn't going to fail his people.
"ABANDON SHIP!" Murry spouted out, his voice cutting through the chaos like a clean blade edge, firm and resolute. A moment later a tentacle as thick as a man burst forth from below the deck, tossing a man -their doctor- into the foggy skies. Along with the man went one of the four rowboats on the merchant vessel, careening through the air before crashing to the water on the other side of the ship. "EVERYONE ABANDON SHIP!" Murry barked, lunging forward as he did so and slicing into the tentacle at the same instant as Jacen's arrow struck another.
The ship shook from the rumble of anger the beast gave off as blood came out in fountains from the wounds and the tentacles retreated, calm befalling the scene. Murry panted, standing balanced with legs spread and eyes wild.
"THAT'S AN ORDER!" Murry roared. The Kraken would come back, he knew it.

OOC: Perur can dodge this or resist it if that's your plan. I don't want to CC. I just don't see how else to get him off the ship. IC:
Semira had no time for this. At long last, she drew her own blade, the moment giving her a rush of exultation, a feeling of power and control. She limped to a splintered part of the ship, and hacked off what was left connecting it to the ship, before heaving it into her arms. She headed back to the terrified Perur, while tying the debris to her waist.
"I'm sorry," she said, meaning it. Instincts urged her on. She reached out with the speed of a cobra and gripped his arm, magic coursing through her into him. A paralyse spell.
Part of her mourned this betrayal, part of her exulted in it, relishing this new emotion. All of her was determined to get him off.
She would lie him on the debris and pull him as far as she could. At the very least, when their spells ran out, they could float on it until she replenished.
She didn't want to think about what his reaction would be when he came out of the spell.

"Abandon ship?" Valien repeated the man's orders out loud in disbelief. Even though he didn't know the man, he ran up to the captain of the ship, grabbing his arm less than politely. "You can't be serious!" He shouted above the sounds of battle. In the heat of combat, Valkien didn't quite realise the battle was already lost, every inch of him wanted to keep fighting.
Tell me I don't have to flee. Tell me that I don't have to survive this battle.
He wasn't suicidal, but there was no point in running when there was nothing to run for. In a split second decision which made him sound like an eager wannabe hero would, he told the captain that, "I'll stay and fight for as long as I can. Try to buy some more time." His eyes were filled with a steely determination, and his hands glowed blue with magicka.

OOC: Actually, I was contemplating on how to get him off the ship myself, that solved it for me. lol
IC: Perur was in no position to be dodging anything, he was still wracking his mind for any sort of words that would explain to Semira just what he had been talking about, why he would not get into the water, desperately searching for a way to explain to her just what KIND of fear gripped his heart, the kind of fear that paralyzed him, that left him unable to do anything but get away, but move away from whatever it was that was around him. This wasn't some SMALL fear, this was something that he was certain would kill him, that would...
His thoughts were cut off as he felt rough skin, yet still soft, meet his arm. He just barely had time to look over and see that Semira's hand was wrapped around his arm. He remarked briefly at the texture, at the dual nature of having her hands, so sharply clawed, and so rough at points before smoothing out when the scales/jewels, whatever they were, met with skin, before he felt magic coursing through her again. This time, it wasn't something that Perur was expecting. This time, the moment the electric current touched him, he could feel his muscles responding, could feel them binding to him, could feel them as they tensed around his arm...
And then, around everything. All of his muscles were tensing, were suddenly freezing, locking. She had paralyzed him. For the briefest of moments, Perur looked up to Semira, shock flooding through his face. His eyes reflected terror, knowing what she was going to, reflected surprise at what she had done, and then... reflected betrayal, as he wondered why she was doing this, why she was going to make him face this, throw him to the very element that he was certain was going to kill him. She was going to kill him, she was going to kill him, he knew it... It was this look of betrayal that froze itself onto his face, as he gave out to the spell, toppling to the side, as his paralyzed legs wouldn't simply give out, instead leaving him to lean.
The side that he came down on, ironically, was the wounded one, causing a flare of pain that raced through him, though he couldn't register it. He was simply staring at Semira's legs, unable to move in the slightest. The slightly accusing, slightly hurt look was still plastered on his face, though by now it would have been replaced by a look of sheer terror, as his heart beat wildly behind his chest, struggling against the spell with all of his might. NO! NO NO NO NO NO NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO!

Semira didn't inspect Perur: she was moving by pure instinct now, going as fast as she could, as efficiently as she could. She reached down to grab Perur: he was heavy, dead weight, and she was not that muscular. She didn't want to risk dropping him into the water.
"Lighten!" she growled, pink light flashing. She lifted up Perur easily now, dragging the wood along behind her.
She threw it down into the water as a great tentacle came down beside them, gripping horribly, ripping the ship apart. On shaking legs, she followed it down, shouting a spell as she went.
She landed heavily on the water, her legs jarring, and she laid Perur out onto the makeshift raft. For a moment, her eyes met his, the expression of betrayal, of terror. She'd never seen that look before, the way it twisted someone's features just so, and here it was, frozen in place now for her to study.
Distantly, she felt the urge to laugh, laugh at his terror. But she also felt disgusted with herself. Ashamed, despite knowing that she had to do what she had to do.
She brushed the confusing tangle of emotions away, and began running, the raft dragging along behind her, Perur still paralysed upon it. She'd have to drop some of her spells soon: the Paralysis and the Feather together were far too draining. She'd already dropped her own water-breathing and swim spells. She could do without.
They got further and further away, her muscles straining, her leg screaming its protest. The analytical part of her mind noted that she might always have a limp if it were not tended soon. But it wasn't far enough, the massive, nightmarish form of the Kraken too large to fully leave behind in so short a time. She hoped and prayed that no tentacle would come up, nothing would be there to drag her down into the horrible, icy depths...
She stumbled, knee's buckling. She dropped the Paralysis spell and limped on, but slowly, her feet were sinking deeper and deeper into the water.

OOC: Hope no one minds this...
BIC:
Aldarilon leaped back at the captain's response, though it wasn't entirely unexpected. The scene of the ship's deck was like...like a bad dream. One of those curious nightmares that seemed to slow both time and your own movement. People ran about wildly in panic, many sailors had already thrown themselves into the water, and he even caught sight of one man falling on his own sword, the blade pointed to his heart and his eyes clenched as he let himself fall to the floor. Aldarilon swallowed hard; he knew what was coming next for him.
Sheathing his scimitar, he started making his way towards the edge of the deck. It felt like what he imagined a criminal being escorted to his gallows felt. The jog seemed to take hours, though in reality only a few seconds had passed. The nearer he came to the edge, the more he slowed down. His eyes were wide, his heart pounding. Anything would have been better than this. Anything. Even taking his chances with the Kraken. No, you idiot, listen to reason!
Coming up to the edge itself was like staring into the landscape of Oblivion itself. Sailors, passengers, pirates, and debris from the ship were strewn about the water below. The waters....even the sound of the word was ominous to him at this time. He knew Alteration almost as well as he knew Illusion, but a spell can only last for so long under these conditions. He would certainly die if he entered that infinite abyss. But...he would die up here, too. Maybe I could just...wait. Wait for the Kraken to do me in. At least it'll be quick... The sound of something loudly slapping against the water caught the bard's ear.
In a person's most dire moments, at the times where an unstoppable force has apparently come in contact with an unmovable object, fate has the most curious habit of tipping the scales with some minute, trivial thing that could only be of any significance when a person's true colors are showing, having been pushed to the limit.
A pair of familiar figures caught Aldarilon's eye; it was the source of the slapping sound. And it was a very strange sight at that. The Dunmer woman, the odd horned lady, was dragging a piece of wood behind her while walking on the water; on the piece of wood was the shape of the Imperial he had seen her speaking with just moments before the attack. He had all but forgotten about them until now. The Dunmer's power was clearly giving out. She wouldn't last but a few more minutes. And the Imperial looked incapacitated, somehow, though he couldn't tell from here. They were simply between two threats. The Kraken, and drowning from exhaustion. Aldarilon just stared at them for a moment, partially from wonder, partially to stall his own fear. They were going to die...they'd share his fate, and that of everyone near the doomed ship. But there was that one persistent voice in the very back of his head.
You really ought to help them, you know.
"Dammit," he said under his breath, though it really didn't make a difference at this point. Maybe...just maybe...there could be a chance.
Swallowing hard, he closed his eyes and muttered a water-walking spell. He kept his eyes shut as the faint purple light surrounded his legs. Nothing to lose, I suppose. With every ounce of his mind screaming in protest, he forced his legs forward and pushed himself off of the edge of the deck.
The descent took just as long as the walk to the edge had. Air seemed to merely float past him as he fell. When he made contact with the water, his body plummeted below the surface for a split second before bobbing back, his feet level with the surface and his body out of the water. That split second alone had nearly paralyzed him with fear.
The plunge had been taken, 'the die had been cast', as they say. Adrenaline had fully taken control of his body. His mind's protests made no difference any more; the body was quite determined to keep itself alive. He outright sprinted across the water toward the pair. His own reserves of magicka were naturally deep; he had some to spare. He hoped.
His mind hoped that possibly, by some god's mercy, that there was indeed some tiny ray of hope. And if they did die...well, he couldn't say he didn't try. Nearing the two, he reached his hand out, preparing his own spell as strongly as he could. It had been a long time since he had had to strain his magicka this much; not that he had already used that much, but knowing how much he was about to have to use. He felt his hand make contact with the side of the Dunmer's arm. As soon as it did, he focused his spell onto her. If it worked, hopefully it would reinforce the woman's water-walking spell long enough to get all of them a good distance from the wreckage. Maybe.
After he cast this spell on the woman, he said between breaths, "Just keep running." Not even turning around, he slowed down long enough to allow the raft to come parallel with him. He grabbed the opposite side of it, a feather spell moving from his arms to the raft. And with that, he was forced to slow down. The Imperial...was he...paralyzed? A puzzled expression briefly crossed Aldarilon's face, but left quickly.
The bard turned to look back at the wreckage, slowing to a stop on the water. There might be someone else- just maybe. His conscience simply wasn't letting him walk away from this one. I must be insane... Against his better judgment, and that of his body, he forced himself back towards the chaotic wreckage in search of anyone else that might make it out.
OOC: ...Leaving an opening for anyone else in need of a way out of death, if anyone needs one.

Murry watched as the people began to flee the ship. But he alone remained. He made no move towards the railings, no flinch towards the two rowboats before they dropped to the sea and the sailors began to row away from the ship.
A tentacle rose, smashing the main mast and wrapping around it like an anaconda. The mast cracked and leaned, before the beast swung it and broke the other masts into pieces. Murry simply watched the destruction of his ship, standing as stoically as a man about to die could.
A tentacle as thick as he erupted from the deck in front of him, as if the Kraken could sense he was there. Murry reacted in a flash, the cutlass lashing out to gouge the tentacle. "A captain-"
The tentacle retreated, though another burst out from his other side. His face contorted in barely contained fear, as he fought off beast and emotion simultaneously. The other cutlass lashed out as Murry whirled around. "-goes down-"
A larger tentacle rose from the side of the ship, lifting one of the rowboats out the water. Sailors screamed and leaped to the depths as the boat slid off the slick beast's flesh. Murry turned violently to face the newest threat, which came towards him as if to squish him.
And constrict the whole ship. "-with his ship!" Murry roared, thrusting both blades upwards as the tentacle came down. But it was useless as the beast clutched the vessel and squeezed, crushing the captain between suckers and splinters.
The entire ship cracked from end to end, and burst into two pieces that began to sink towards the sea. And if that wasn't enough, an army of smaller tentacles rose from the deep, seeking out living beings. Seeking out prey. The tentacles lashed out, catching legs, torso's and heads, and knocking their targets cold.

A smirk grew on Jacin's face when the tentacle retreated after being struck by his arrow, and another man's swords. Something going right today... that was a first. The other man shouted, an order to abandon ship. The Bosmer, whom did not sail often, was confused at first, almost bringing up the fact that the Kraken had pulled away. Something pushed against the boat, rocking it slightly. Not needing further incentive, he turned and ran to the egde of the boat that the monster hadn't reached from.
He abruptly stopped at the edge of the ship, looking into the water. The once waving, then still, water was now thrashing every which way as sailors and pirates alike swam about, pulling wreckage together, clinging to hope of life. Jacin looked back, seeing the only man left on the ship: the one who order the evacuation. He opened his mouth to shout at him to hurry, but his voice caught in his throat as more of the shadowy spires rose out, with the Redguard waiting to meet them. The Bosmer turned and leapt off, freezing at first from the shocl of the cold water.
Once he had his bearings back, Jacin swam to the nearest floating debris he could find: a makeshift raft of somesort. On it also was an Altmer. Crawling onto the wooden object, he nodded a unusually casual 'hello' to him, then turned back to watch the last moments of the vessel.
From his angle, he was unable to see the Redguard anymore, but he could hear his furious shouts, even above the crashing watched and splinter ship. One last time a tentacle rose up, then came crashing down onto two raised swords. Jacin could do naught but wince at the sight. The final blow seemed to fracture the merchant ship, just as easily as it felled the pirate schooner.
The wreckage and tentacles sunk into the water, and Jacin turned to speak with his raft-mate, the Altmer, "Do you thi-nnkuh..." He began, unaware of several smaller of the tentacles reaching up, one grabbing him by the ankle, then swiftly shot up, banging his head against the raft, knocking him unconscious. His last vision was that of the dark water, not very different from the inking blackness that flooded his mind.

OOC: This will ruin the suspense, but here is a Map of the island you will land on. There are five color highlighted landing zones. In the pm I will tell you where you have landed. This is a general map telling you the lay of the land and environment. You can elaborate upon this map as you please. But the key is this; the darker the brown, the higher the altitude. The south of the island is all cliffs with small beach at their bottom. The cliffs slope down to a gorge that then slopes up the side of a volcano. Then there are forests. The exact layout of the land is left to you, but this is the key aspect of it. I'll get to work on the PMs.
