ok I just want this posted, I'll get into details later.
the idea for this roleplay is thus: each character we play will be a skiller adventurer, craftsman, magician, scholar or anything you want them to be with only one condition: they must have mastered one skill (any relevant skill to be able to be of use to an adventure) and after being gathered by a mysterious contracor who personally invited them to his manor, the mysterious host takes from each of them their mastered skill for his own.
and so the people wronged (us) have to track down the man and somehow regain their lost ability and skill.
yes you can call this a sort of anti-uber roleplay with exception of the antagonist who will stay out of the picture the first part.
I have several ideas forming already and I like to know what you all think about this before I start to drasticly change the basic idea

Sounds cool; it'd be fascinating to create a character based around a particular skill and see how they cope without it. I wish you hadn't told us you were going to steal the skills, though; gives us too much of a chance to give them other skills to compensate. It doesn't seem anti-uber, particularly, but it definitely does seem a fun concept. Don't know whether I'd have time for it or not; if it moves at normal Illusionaria rate (that is to say; slow) then I'd certainly like to give it a go, but I think I'd struggle to make a post a day.

Sounds interesting indeed, and it would be hard not to give some skills to compensate, but otherwise it would be fun considering the character would consistently try to use their skills again.

Egad. Just imagine a weapon's master who forgot how to wield a sword! Or a healer who couldn't remember for the life of them how to summon up a simple healing spell!
Interesting, truly.

In fairness, our characters may well have specialised very much to have actually mastered a skill, so giving them other skills would be a bit of a cop out.
Plus, I LOVE the idea of loads of characters wandering around trying to work out how other ways of doing things, or stumbling around trying to use their original skills but failing all the time. Using un-stolen skills that aren't novice level seems boring in comparison.

I like the idea...a lot. If you decide to develop the idea, I'll emerge from lurking and join up, if you don't object. It is certainly a fresh concept.

Anyway, I reckon even I will join in with this one, as long as it doesn't go too quickly. Partly due to me having college work and stuff, mainly due to laziness.

Hahaha! Well, today's certainly been fun reading for me..
I'm tempted, so very very much, to join, Cirith. I mean, it physically hurts to think I might not be able to. Imagine a master fire mage who suddenly can't recall how to even reheat a cup of coffee, and the horrible, crippling frustration from it! *squirms*
I've got several characters in mind already, both existing and not. Until I make up my mind, I'm going to go pout somewhere..

A poet whose verses suddenly incite thrown bricks rather than applause comes to mind...but I will need to think about it when I'm not half-delirious from need of sleep.
