funny, if I recall that should be close to being exactly 3 years after your first (it started a while after I actively joined the roleplaying crew of BGS in the end of august 06) good luck with it. You're freakin' kidding me... That's awesome.

Not really, there's only twelve months in a year, school starts at the same time every year, meaning you probably have the same concerns and cravings at around the same time...

While traveling home for my birthday, I thought a little more on the rp. Progress in plot is being made. Do not fret, all is not lost.

I'm considering making the bloodlust affect non-dragons and dragons alike. What do you guys think?

Interesting idea, but why would the non-dragons be affected? Are they not just supposed to be normal people of Tamriel?

I abhor the idea. The Bloodlust was what set the Dragons apart from the men of Tamriel: It allowed them to become berzerk, become animalistic, almost primal in nature. It was part of their allure, and what made them so dangerous to be around. If you throw it into random people with no draconic blood in them whatsoever, then it both makes no sense, as it's a draconic trait, and lowers the uniqueness of the Dragon entirely. It'd basically be a Redguard Berzerker Rush that is universally applied: Completely and utterly useless.

While there would be a reasoning behind it, I felt the reasoning was slightly, well, weak, so wanted to see what the group thoughts were.
The Bloodlust will be changing a little Webster; the exclusion of Shadowhand does require a tweaking of the lore of the Bloodlust a little. It will remain a plague for the Dragonic players only, however, and not transfer to men and mer.
I'm getting closer to finished working this all out. With just the two replies so far, I get the idea folks. But not everything will be the same as in the Saga. I will try to make the changes not too heavy from the Saga lore, so as to maintain that splendor, but seek to also create a new splendor. I hope the changes are enjoyed!

I don't think Dragon's was the be all and end all, as Web does, though it certainly was an amazing RP. Anything can be improved upon, and it'd be silly to make it exactly the same again. Remakes only tend to tarnish the memory of the original. Out of curiosity, will you allow half-breeds, or beings with draconic blood? Or just wierd new races? I promise I'll make it EXTRA good. It's just that then we can enjoy being in a new world with new lore, without becoming dragons.

Well then that whole issue of a shape-changed human form dragon mating with a human arises, and I ain't sure how that ought to be handled.
For simplicities sake, I'll handle it like all other race lore. If the mother is a dragon, you are a dragon; if mommy was man/mer, you are too. But either way, you'd have draconic/man-mer blood, and that will dilute/increase your magical influences depending on the situation. I'd have to look at your character and discuss it with you.

So Frank, besides the Bloodlust, what other kinds of weaknesses or weird conditions are you giving the dragons? I've got a few ideas for a possible dragon character, but it's always nice to know what kind of things to incorporate.

There is the one singular weakness unique to each dragon, which you must have. This weakness must be crippling enough to make you as easy to kill as a standard warrior, or close to that.
There is also a limit to the number of times you guys can shift from human/mer to dragon forms. However, I am allowing you to discriminate this limit. Keep in mind it would be a power consuming process, and take a little time as well. Younger dragons will have harder times than older ones with this.
Otherwise... nothing beyond self-imposed weaknesses.
