back on topic, finally found out the reason behind the dragons. translated the lyrics that play at the end of the teaser.
"Dragonborn Dragonborn by his honor is sworn to keep evil forever at bay and the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph's shout dragonborn for your blessing we pray
and the scrolls have fortold of black wings in the cold that when brother's wage war come unfurled Alduin, bane of kings ancient shadow unbound with a hunger to swallow the world"
Alduin.. i should have realised this from the song lol..

Hey guys, came crawling back. Happy New year, by the way. Recently found this teaser out, Skyrim, sparked my interest back in TES series. DEATHWING'S RESURFACED, o wait. Interesting place for a setting (Jo's backyard, mate, LOL) jk <3. There's leaks here that Strategyinformer did, if you have not yet discovered. I'm sure most of you have nerdreactor.com/2011/01/10/elder-scrolls-v-pictures-and-information-revealed/What's got me curious is the class system with the lessons they learned from fallout, I'm hoping for not an exact replica, maybe some perks. As mentioned on there, dual wielding viable again! Seems like immersion is gonna be improved big time, physics to the environment e.g. wind causes water to move. Playing third person is even gonna be viable! ACTUAL BEARDS. I'm a sucker for beards. Unlike in OB, painted facial, yea..

Well, obviously you need proper beards when you're going to Skyrim. I had not seen that scan before, thanks!
I dunno what I think about the skill thing... I guess it makes sense, and choosing skills was always a bit of a bother. But I'll refrain from hyping the game, like I did with Oblivion. We all know where that got me.

well ive heard quite a few good things about the game and those scans just make it even better. I just hope they have finally learned their mistakes from oblivion. the whole perk system is making me cringe a little but as long as it isnt a complete rip off of the fallout system then it might work.
but still the lore for this seems to be good so far.. but what i dont get is, is this going to actually be akatosh since Auldiun is just the nordic name for him, or is it just going to be some big ass dragon that is just called that.

Depending on how the pull it off, the perk system could either be really great and add a level of immersion to the game...or it could be as infamous as the speechcraft wheel. After all, it would make sense for different kinds of characters to have particular characteristics, like a melee oriented character having naturally higher damage resistances than say a mage. Without seeing the perks, though, it's hard to say.
As far as the dragon bit goes, it's hard to say what's going on there. If Alduin is supposed to be the Nordic version of Akatosh, and you take into account that the leader of Akavir calls himself Tosh'Raka (just rearranged spelling of Akatosh with an R) and is supposedly a dragon... After all, even in Oblivion and Morrowind, we heard that Akavir wanted to invade Tamriel, and that was 200 years before this game? I could see people freaking out, assuming this big ass dragon is supposedly the 'world-eater.'
Only time will tell.

But wouldn't that go against Akatosh being the head of the divines? Eating the world O,o. Unless I misinterpreted something there.
